The scientific community has been divided over the use of talc for years. Some believe it_s safe while others claim it is carcinogenic to humans. Johnson and Johnson released a statement saying its products were safe. The company plans on appealing the decision. Did you get your flu shot this season? If you did you are 59 percent LESS likely to get sick. According to the CDC this year_s vaccine has been one of the most effective in years. Because flu viruses mutate so quickly the usefulness of vaccines can vary wildly from year to year. By comparison the 2014 vaccine was only 23-percent effective. Health officials in the US urge everyone to get their flu shot every year but normally less than half of Americans actually do. PP) Rachelle, the rescued miners had to wear sunglasses to protect their eyes as they emerged from the pitch-black mine that had been their home for 6 harrowing days. Their only contact with the outside world was a tube providing sustenance and communication. Peru_s president greeted the workers as they emerged and called for stricter mine regulations to prevent events like this from ever happening again. And in Asia, a naval standoff is brewing between China and the Philippines in the South China Sea. It started when the Philippine Navy sent a cutter to investigate Chinese fishing boats. They found large amounts of illegally-collected corals, clams, and live sharks. Two Chinese surveillance ships showed up soon afterwards, blocking the way to the fishermen and preventing their arrest. Both countries claim the lagoon in question is an integ-gral part of their territory. China further claims that their fishermen were simply taking refuge in the lagoon due to poor weather Rachelle.RW) So, what happens now Peyton?PP) That_s the million dollar question everyone_s been asking.
