Romancing the Kingdom is the story of Penelope (Penny), the heir apparent to the Persian throne. She has to prove she’s worth of ascension by doing a few tasks, the principle one of convincing a manling she’s worthy of bearing his child. Of course, she can always take what she wants by force…but, it’s considered in this mythical culture better to have the manling come willingly.

The male protagonist is Captain Jack Hawkeye. He’s recently had a run in with the local constable and been away from his pirate ship, hung over and found slightly beaten in an alley by Penelope and her retinue.

A few helpful people identified some bugs along the Briley path in Romancing the Kingdom; one of which resulted in a player only being able to experience the first ~9-11 days of content, instead of the full 16 days of content that's available in the current version.

So I fixed those errors, updated the function to ensure that if you play from an older release it still works and also I swapped out ~20 or so images that I wasn't thrilled with from early in the game (prologue, also the repeating Polly & Jack kitchen scene).

Last, I've compressed more of the PNG images so the overall footprint of the file is a bit smaller.

The Key guardian is a new boss that you can take on in 9 different difficulties.

You can bring up to 5 heroes instead of the regular 4 heroes that you can bring into the campaign battles.

The Key Guardian will have a different element in each difficulty so assemble your team wisely !

The story centers around you, a middle-aged man with a background in cryptocurrency trading, telling the story of how you met a girl named Megan during a life changing day.
Megan is a young aspiring actress down on her luck and in desperate need for help.

Gameplay:
The gameplay is decision based. The player can be named to your liking and early on you get to select to identify with one out of three different traits (Athletic, Charismatic or Well-read).
The traits will open up different options during the game and can lead to different reactions to your choices and affect how characters perceive you.
The relationship stats are hidden and in the end of each episode a summary of choices and characters feelings towards you is presented.

The primary focus of the game is the blossoming romance between you and Megan.
However, as the story unfolds there will be other characters that are eligible for romantic encounters as well.
You may also choose to form a strong bond of friendship with your best friend Liam.

Each character has their own personality, story and quests for the player. You can enjoy this alongside full immersive 3D gameplay, gorgeous models, and a very sarcastic and dry sense of humor. The AI is very robust, and the characters respond to a large number of stimuli and player choices. There are multiple story-paths and different outcomes based on your decisions.

The stories are customizable, and Eek! Games offers tools on their website to craft your own story including full dialogues, interactions, and logic dictating how the player's night goes and import it into your game. Users are already creating and sharing stories on the game's forum, and we are excited to see what the player community creates next!

The game is still in beta, and there are still some placeholder graphics in place in the demo video you see. We are wanting to offer free early access. The game in its current state has plenty of game play available and comes with full immersive stories with the option to download new stories from the forum. As the game goes further into development, more official stories and forked story-lines will be worked on, and more content will be added to the game in the sense of what is available for the characters to do.

Long Live the Princess v0.9



You live a simple life in a small fantasy town. You possess few talents except that of Truthsaying, the ability to magically tell if someone is lying.

One day news arrives that the King is dead of old age and that his daughter, Princess Selena, is coming to your town for her coronation. When a person close to you gets murdered soon after, and you learn that you are the only person who can save the world from an unspecified calamity, things get rather heated.

Serving under a powerful sorceress, you are taught the ability to manipulate people's minds. With this knowledge in hand and a potty-mouthed pixie in tow, you are told to prepare for the arrival of the Princess so that you can seduce her and save the world (the details of this elude you). Until then, however, you must practice. How appealing, then, that this practice means using your magic to seduce as many of the town's girls as possible.

Changelog 0.9.0:
Added the game's first timed event on day 17. Most of the additions in this update occur during this event, so you won't see the new features until that day.
Added a small secret to Samarra, and large secrets to both Samarra and Primrose.
Added Remove Inhibitions for Samarra.

The story is about a young guy who just finished college. He celebrates this at a party. Then he wakes up in the middle of nowhere. He cannot remember what happened. He has a complete blackout! Did he drink to much? How did he end up so far away from home?
V3 notes:
Focus on the new locations: The restaurant for Emily and the public beach for Meagan, I intent to add some introduction later instead of just unlocking them
Old time-system is gone
Rollback is enabled
Public beach has 6 side characters: Tracy, Sara, Josie, Pamela, Lisa, Scarlett (redhead)
New quest: Baywatch
Quests have colored text now to show whether they can be completed
Don't waste time talking with the main characters in the house, this is unfinished
Known bug: during dialog-transitions the map- and hourglass-button should not be visible/usable
Thumbnails where added to the map temporary to make it easier to move while the game is in an early version, it is to early to build an island map
