Description: Mimì Galluzzo, a baron from Sicily, inherits a legacy from his deceased father-in-law under two conditions. First, his wife Rosalba must accept the will, and second, a compromising document must be delivered to the mafia. However, the document is actually in the possession of a widow named Donna Maria, who agrees to sell it only if Mimì marries her. Meanwhile, Rosalba becomes obsessed with having a child and suddenly goes mad or pretends to. Donna Maria recommends a plan to Mimì to get rid of Rosalba by becoming her lover, with the help of his friend Langatta, an undertaker, and a nurse in the clinic where Rosalba is hospitalized. However, the plan takes a dark turn, and Mimì finds himself involved in a series of crimes that will make him lose his mind, without having reached his goal.
